You lost your sense of mind

long ago.

Now I stare endlessly at those old photos.

I always forget what you mean to me,

but just you smiling makes me see.You were a poet in finer words,

you still had so much in life to learn.

What you didn’t sing you thought,

Everyone thought they had you bought.

You were always plucking the strings,

to see how loud they would ring.

You never had a big ego,

You were gentle and loving.

No one saw this coming.

You broke in half and left us all alone,

and we’re stilling gasping for the air,

hoping for it to fill our lungs.
